About Carnarvon
The sun’s winter home and the hub of the entire Gascoyne region, the coastal town of Carnarvon is 904km north of Perth along the North West Coastal Highway or a scenic two-hour flight, situated just south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Where the outback meets the sea, it’s well-known among West Aussies for its fantastic fishing, dozens of banana and mango plantations and moderate tropical climate – locals enjoy an average 26C temperature.
Carnarvon offers all essential goods and services, makes a great base for exploring the world-renowned drawcards of the Gascoyne region and boasts many worthwhile attractions in and around the township itself. Visit our rugged red coastal cliffs, wildflower trails, sparkling aquamarine waters on pristine white beaches, historical precinct, snorkel, dive and fish all year round, or just sit outside in the balmy night air under star studded skies and enjoy a coldie or two.
BIG4 Plantation Caravan Park is only 5km to the town centre !
